Amy and David's Friendship Park Wedding

This year has been a little different for me.  Over half of the clients I have booked, I have not met until wedding day.  They have mostly been referred by friends, and are drawn to my style of shooting via my portfolio.  I always have at least one phone conversation, and many email exchanges before weddings day.  It can be  little scary at first, considering I will be with them all day on their wedding day.  I have not had one bad experience with any of these weddings.  In fact, once I meet up with the girl's and start photographing them, I feel like I have known them forever.  This is exactly how I felt at Amy and David's wedding.  As soon as I arrived to their apartment I was greeted with big smiles and just enough of a southern accent to make me feel at home.  The first thing David said to me when I met him that day was that he was very emotional and was without a doubt going to cry.  I was glad he felt comfortable enough to be so honest and open.

The day was one of those we had last month where the rain was lingering over us, but never really came.  Amy and David's first look was one of the sweetest I have witnessed. Emotions were high and the tears of joy flowed unapologetically.  I was so happy to have witnessed so much love.  The day was super laid back and full of so many laughs.  I was so happy have had such a wonderful experience with these two people.  They got married at Friendship Park along the river in Cincinnati.  It's a beautiful location with so many beautiful spots to take photos.   friendshipparkwedding_0681friendshipparkwedding_0768friendshipparkwedding_0771friendshipparkwedding_0769friendshipparkwedding_0772DSC_4590friendshipparkwedding_0770friendshipparkwedding_0765friendshipparkwedding_0766friendshipparkwedding_0764friendshipparkwedding_0763friendshipparkwedding_0761friendshipparkwedding_0746friendshipparkwedding_0690friendshipparkwedding_0774friendshipparkwedding_0767friendshipparkwedding_0663friendshipparkwedding_0664friendshipparkwedding_0693friendshipparkwedding_0694friendshipparkwedding_0695friendshipparkwedding_0696friendshipparkwedding_0775friendshipparkwedding_0752friendshipparkwedding_0676friendshipparkwedding_0704friendshipparkwedding_0667friendshipparkwedding_0677friendshipparkwedding_0674friendshipparkwedding_0675friendshipparkwedding_0666friendshipparkwedding_0668friendshipparkwedding_0709neltnerfarmwedding_0662friendshipparkwedding_0670friendshipparkwedding_0712friendshipparkwedding_0713friendshipparkwedding_0714friendshipparkwedding_0715friendshipparkwedding_0716friendshipparkwedding_0717friendshipparkwedding_0718friendshipparkwedding_0719friendshipparkwedding_0720friendshipparkwedding_0721friendshipparkwedding_0722friendshipparkwedding_0723friendshipparkwedding_0724friendshipparkwedding_0725friendshipparkwedding_0727friendshipparkwedding_0680friendshipparkwedding_0682friendshipparkwedding_0728friendshipparkwedding_0731friendshipparkwedding_0730friendshipparkwedding_0685friendshipparkwedding_0777friendshipparkwedding_0684

Kate and Erik's Cincinnati Wedding

Kate and Erik had a classic wedding in downtown Cincinnati.  It was one of those amazing fall days when the weather and light gods were on our side.  What sticks out most  about these two is just how well they compliment each other.  They find comfort in each other, something I adore in a couple.  I spent the day with Kate while she got ready with her girls.  Though she didn't seem to be very nervous, I could see a huge sense of relief and happiness come over her when she saw Erik for the first time.  It was awesome to witness.  As we spent a large part of the afternoon taking pictures these two got to enjoy each other and savor every minute.kateanderilbelleventcentre089kateanderilbelleventcentre069kateanderilbelleventcentre070kateanderilbelleventcentre071kateanderilbelleventcentre072kateanderilbelleventcentre079kateanderilbelleventcentre073kateanderilbelleventcentre074kateanderikbelleventcentre_1072kateanderilbelleventcentre075kateanderilbelleventcentre076Kate was a stunning bride. kateanderilbelleventcentre077kateanderikbelleventcentre_1071kateanderilbelleventcentre080kateanderilbelleventcentre082I absolutely love when couples do a first look.  It is such a special moment, and it allows for lots of alone time during the day. kateanderikbelleventcentre_1073kateanderikbelleventcentre_1074kateanderikbelleventcentre_1075kateanderilbelleventcentre083kateanderilbelleventcentre084kateanderilbelleventcentre086kateanderilbelleventcentre087kateanderilbelleventcentre088kateanderilbelleventcentre090kateanderilbelleventcentre091kateanderilbelleventcentre092kateanderilbelleventcentre093kateanderilbelleventcentre094kateanderilbelleventcentre095kateanderilbelleventcentre098kateanderilbelleventcentre099kateanderilbelleventcentre097kateanderilbelleventcentre100kateanderilbelleventcentre101kateanderilbelleventcentre096kateanderilbelleventcentre102kateanderilbelleventcentre103kateanderilbelleventcentre104kateanderikbelleventcentre_1068kateanderikbelleventcentre_1070kateanderikbelleventcentre_1066Ahh this moment is it.  The first embrace alone after becoming husband and wife.  I love when I am able to capture it. kateanderilbelleventcentre105kateanderilbelleventcentre106kateanderikbelleventcentre_1080kateanderilbelleventcentre108After the ceremony we headed to Eden Park for a quick toast with the bridal party.  Kate had some fans. :) kateanderikbelleventcentre_1085kateanderikbelleventcentre_1084kateanderilbelleventcentre109kateanderilbelleventcentre110kateanderikbelleventcentre_1081kateanderikbelleventcentre_1086kateanderilbelleventcentre111The Bell Event Centre is always so spectacular. kateanderikbelleventcentre_1088kateanderikbelleventcentre_1091kateanderilbelleventcentre115

Cincinnati Wedding at The Bell Event Centre

I feel very fortunate for the opportunity I had to travel to Mexico earlier this year to photograph Shanean and Ryan's destination wedding.  I got another opportunity to spend time with this gorgeous couple at the Bell Event Centre for their reception recently.  The Bell, which is a renovated church/bell and clock museum/event space is loaded with charm; vaulted ceilings, antique clocks and bells, colorful stained glass, marble and terrazzo floors.    The Bell Event Centre offers the option to have your ceremony and reception in the same location.  There is a beautiful courtyard that overlooks the city that is perfect for cocktail hour and photos.  The food is so, so good.   I feel safe saying it is the best I have had at a wedding to date. :)  They can accommodate up to 350 guests and have a full service staff of chefs, servers, bartenders, ect. that are very professional and courteous.   It was wonderful working with such an outstanding group of people. :)

See images from Shanean and Ryan's destination wedding here, their sexy day after beach shoot here, and underwater fun we had in Mexico here.

Shanean is so beautiful.Inside The Bell Event Centre.  There is a huge collection of bells and clocks to admire throughout the venue. Shanean's mother made their cake.  So good!! Time to break it down! Shanean and Ryan have a super fun group of friends! :)I made a slideshow of the images from Mexico so that all of the guests could see the wedding.  I love this image of Shanean enjoying it at the end of the night.  Thanks to my assistant, Justin for capturing it.

Shanean and Ryan Cancun Riveria Wedding Part 1

He is the planner, she goes with the flow.  He is the observer, she doesn't even notice the entire room is admiring how gorgeous she is.  They are both beautiful people inside and out.  Their love feels good to be around.  Shanean and Ryan were married at the breathtaking Secrets Silversands resort in Cancun Mexico surrounded by their close friends and family.  I cannot thank them enough for not only giving me the opportunity to document their love, but for also being so gracious to me the entire time I was with them.  What a fantastic way to start off my wedding season!

She looked amazing!
